About the Role

The Material Handler is responsible for providing shipping and receiving support to in-house and field teams. This is a night shift position located in New Kensington, PA (local/commutable distance only). Safety is the overriding priority, and all duties critical to safety, quality, and environmental protection are carried out in compliance with requirements and personal accountability.
Responsibilities
- Prepares outgoing freight and documents, including declarations and documentation of goods.
- Receives and records all incoming goods (parts, equipment, tools, etc.).
- Oversees packing of outgoing shipments to avoid delays.
- Follows compliance, directions, and safety requirements.
- Provides general warehouse support.
- Loads and unloads materials from incoming and outgoing trucks.
- Stages material ahead of inspection units.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in a related role.
- Training and certification in forklift operation preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot shipping/inventory-related problems.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated reliability and good attendance.
- Availability to work extended hours and/or overtime as needed.
- Ability to participate in job development training (e.g., equipment cross-training, team development).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience working with ERP software.
Physical Requirements
- Must possess reasonable manual dexterity to perform assigned duties and be capable of effective communication (vision, standing, walking, hearing, and talking).
- Ability to endure long work hours and withstand fatigue, stress, and hardship.
- Ability to routinely lift/carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally push and pull up to 50 pounds.
Essential Physical Functions: Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs.
