Material Handler Lead
About the role
Leads and motivates team to ensure quality performance, cost parameters, accuracy and speed. Arranges daily team meetings to focus on smooth workflow and timely delivery. Trains new workers on department processes and operation of specific equipment.
Responsibilities
- Plans, assigns and coordinates workload across the team
- Maintains continuity between work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
- Solves operational or manufacturing problems
- Ensures daily preventative maintenance takes place
- Trains new workers as required
- Ensures compliance with quality, environmental and safety standards
- Facilitates problem solving
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment required
