Material Handler IV - Receiving/Inventory Control - Columbus, Ohio

Duties

• Support management of workflow, LTL or pack line
• Utilize Warehouse Management System to create and sort batches of orders, communicate order fulfillment issues to sales team, resolve system batching issues, organize workload for the DC floor
• Assign Tasks
• Monitor E-mail box
• Follow through on requests from upper management, sales, etc.
• Uses WMS and SAP to identify discrepancies
• Miscellaneous Inventory Rectification/Identification
• Conduct Quality and Safety Audits
• Train associates on proper procedures, practices, and equipment
• Utilize RF and/or pick label to verify item/quantity/location to pick and/or receive
• Pass all safety checks and fork lift certifications on all equipment and complete daily operator checklists
• Measure, weigh and count products and materials
• Mark and label containers, container tags, or products, using marking tools
• Properly operate multiple pieces of equipment including stock chasers, order pickers, stand up and sit down fork lifts, turret trucks
• Validate quantity, quality, and model number of product
• Utilizing shipment software
• Maintain an incident and accident free driving history

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written form; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, maintenance and procedure manuals
• 1-2 years experience leading a team or function
• 1-2 years inventory control and WMS experience

Qualifications

• Preferred: SAP and Korber experience
