Material Handler III - Day- Loading Dock
About the role

The Material Handler plays a crucial role in loading the trucks that ship our premium windows to customers. This position is responsible for communicating effectively to ensure that trucks are shipped complete and on time, continuously striving to improve productivity, effectiveness, quality, and safety. It is essential that this individual can work successfully both independently and as part of a team with varied strengths.
Responsibilities
- Load and/or unload trucks properly
- Work with computers or the ICIM program and scanners
- Read and understand customer orders and shipping labels
- Check for quality accuracy based on the quality guidelines
- Use essential measuring equipment
- Use lift equipment and obtain the required licensure
- Coordinate and transport inventory as needed
- Work effectively with others
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Dependable attendance
- Work beyond scheduled work hours to meet delivery schedule when required
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Standing and/or walking for 8 – 10 hours a day
- Performing repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions
- Working at an established production rate pace entailing pushing and/or pulling of materials up to 150 pounds
- Lifting up to 75 pounds as well as moving product on the floor of the trailers ranging from 50-400 pounds (team lifting may be required for heavier items)
- Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and turning
- Self-motivated with minimal supervision required
