About the role
Working under minimal supervision, this position acts as the lead in the absence of the Supervisor. Responsibilities include ensuring accuracy in SAP at all times and performing at least three of the following jobs: RTS (Return to stock), stockroom, cycle counts, WIP support, shipping, receiving inspection, or receiving. Reconcile inventory variances and adjust as necessary. Report line record accuracy to Supervisor and Manager. Occasionally acts as a liaison between Production Control, Production Management, and the Production line for inventory or shortage issues.
Responsibilities
- Stockroom / RTS: Put material away in stockrooms using RF scanners in SAP and verify transactions. Pull kits and split them as required, scan kits to the G drive, and ensure shortages are complete. Count material returning from the line to ensure system accuracy. Maintain organized box build areas and kan bans.
- Receiving: Follow receiving procedures to validate carton counts against bills of lading, match packing to each lot material, and note any exceptions. Sign for all material delivered to receiving dock, complete receipts for production materials, and perform de-trash shipments. May perform other duties as assigned.
- Receiving Inspection: Read and follow inspection plans and special instructions for incoming material. Verify packing slips, receipts, and inventory quantities before passing inspection. Perform SAP transactions for material movement and inventory adjustments. Obtain Quality Control Inspection certification based on IPC’s Standard-A-610 and maintain annual re-certification. May perform other duties as assigned.
- Shipping: Understand shipping procedures and documentation for both domestic and international. Schedule or manage transportation carriers using Jabil or customer carriers, as required, using corporate guidelines. Accurately and safely perform necessary physical movements, systems transactions, and verifications. Supports work cells month ends, which may involve working extended hours. Operates material handling equipment as needed.
Qualifications
- Ability to effectively communicate with various groups.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Advanced PC skills, including proficiency in Jabil’s software packages.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Knowledge of common office software and ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to read and understand visual aids.
- Basic reading and writing skills.
- Ability to perform simple calculations and draw graphs.
