Material Handler II - Third Shift

About the Role

This is a Material Handler II role in the Storage (Outbound) department on 3rd shift, working Monday through Friday from 10:30pm to 7:00am at the Grand Island, Staley Road location, BCD/BID Division of LSG. Responsibilities

• Retrieve material from manufacturing departments and various warehouse environments.
• Transfer finished products to different pallets, including banding/wrapping pallets.
• Use electronic systems such as ERP (E1), Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and Smartsheet.
• Stage and load shipments onto logistics carriers.
• Perform inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
• Support other process paths, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Operate powered industrial equipment (PIT) such as power walkies, fork trucks, pancakes, stackers, and swing trucks.
• Participate in safety, quality, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of general warehouse experience.
• One to two years of experience working with computers and basic software packages, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with various powered industrial equipment (counter-balance trucks, reach trucks, powered pallet jacks).
• Experience handling hazardous materials (chemicals) is a plus.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

• Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance.
• Work in cold rooms/freezers (-22°F/-6°C) and fluctuating temperatures (hot/cold).
• Exposure to loud noises from equipment/machinery.
• Required to wear PPE (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.).
• Standing for the full shift.
• Exposure to strong odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products, etc.).
• Work in various outside weather conditions and warehouse environments.
• Work with hazardous/toxic materials.
• Working at heights using PIT equipment (swing trucks, order pickers).

Schedule

Third Shift: Monday through Friday, 10:30pm–7:00am.

Pay

$18.00 - $21.00/hr + 15% Shift Differential (3rd Shift).

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range for this position based in New York is $18.00–$21.00. This position may also be eligible for a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package, including:
