Responsibilities
- Receives, fills, and ships products accurately and efficiently.
- Operates basic power equipment (i.e., electric pallet, walkie rider, sit-down forklift) to move products around the distribution center.
- Pick and process orders, locate, put away, stack, and move checked-in products to correct storage locations.
- Stocks, fills bin boxes, faces cartons, checks for product mixing, and rotates product where needed.
- Maintains control of products in reserve stock area or will call area.
- Unloads trucks using forklift, pallet jack, electric pallet jack, or by hand.
- Inspects freight for damage and signs freight bills; verifies quantity ordered versus quantity received; checks all shipments against packing lists; completes necessary paperwork for reimbursements or discrepancies.
- Scans products, prints labels, resolves labeling discrepancies, and completes necessary paperwork.
- Picks products, packs items into cartons, stacks them, prepares trucks for shipments, palletizes and wraps orders, loads pallets and pieces into trucks, places packing list in last skid, and completes necessary paperwork.
- Prepares orders by preparing trucks for shipments, palletizing and wrapping orders, loading pallets and pieces into trucks, placing packing list in last skid, and completing necessary paperwork.
- Maintains current accuracy and efficiency standards and follows all standard operating procedures.
- Maintains a safe work environment by working in a safe manner, following safety rules, and maintaining a clean work area.
- Promptly reports any safety or maintenance concerns to supervisors.
- Accurately labels hazardous materials and completes necessary paperwork.
- Maintains required hazardous materials, forklift, and other internal and external certifications as needed.
- Maintains professional communications when interacting with customers and coworkers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 1+ years of related experience and/or training.
- Experience operating forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and competently.
- Experience with inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC wholesale industry, principles, and practices.
- Previous experience with OSHA and safety regulations and procedures.
- Forklift certification required, or willingness to obtain on the job.
