Material Handler II - 1st Shift Reach Truck Operator

Schedule

600am - 300pm (Monday - Thursday) & 600am - 1200pm (Friday)

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Ability to use a hand scanner
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
• Transfers finished products to designated areas
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manager
• Participates in safety and health program activities: reports hazards, reports unsafe work practices and incidents, wears required PPE, supports safety committee

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Forklift Certification required
• Material handling experience strongly preferred

Skills

• Ability to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker, and Drexel
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus
• Experience with hand-held RF scanner, manual/motorized pallet jack, powered industrial equipment

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day
• Exposure to loud noise
• Functional vision and hearing required
• Physical Demands: Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs
