Material Handler II - 1st Shift

About the role

The Material Handler supports internal and external customers by managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials. This includes operating various material handling equipment and performing tasks such as receiving, stocking, and shipping materials.

Responsibilities

• Locate and pull materials/supplies as per production/sales orders and stock assigned production areas.
• Operate all material support equipment and perform material support functions.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following safety procedures and 6S standards.
• Conduct receiving operations and ensure efficient material handling.

Requirements

• One (1) year applicable position experience or an evaluated equivalent.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to operate all material handling equipment (i.e. Stand-up, Sit-down, Combi, Lancer, Tugger).
• Outstanding transaction discipline and ability to work with ERP systems like JDE (Dodge Center Only).
• Effective cross-functional collaboration with various internal customers.

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of applicable position experience.

Skills

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to understand safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to understand and apply mathematical computations and reasoning.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Schedule

Routine shift hours. Infrequent overtime, weekend, or shift rotation.
