Material Handler I - Packer (2nd shift)
About the Role
This position is responsible for moving product through the distribution center, safely and accurately, while following all safety and company policies and procedures. You will maintain a positive work environment by communicating and interacting in a manner that aligns with the company’s purpose and mission to save and sustain lives.
Responsibilities
- Process orders by verifying and applying stickers for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Handle hazardous materials in accordance with International Civil Aviation Regulations.
- Use a Radio Frequency Terminal/Scan gun to process product throughout the warehouse.
- Utilize assigned individual security passwords.
- Ensure compliance with all Regulatory, Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements, including managing spills, damages, and returns.
- Process and stage damaged product following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Use correct pallets and packaging as required by customer or country specifications.
- Participate in projects and teams to continuously improve operations, focusing on safety, quality, service, and cost.
- Operate Warehouse Computer Applications (WMS, RF Equipment).
- Complete pick/pack documents for freezer products and packing lists as required.
- Document inventory discrepancies.
- Complete training assignments on time.
- Perform other assigned tasks.

Employees are regularly exposed to moving powered industrial equipment, extreme cold, and extreme heat. This role requires maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and following all health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with or without a calculator.
- Ability to read and understand simple sentences, two- and three-syllable words, and recognize similarities/differences between words and number series.
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary, scheduled or unscheduled.
- Ability to understand temperature in Fahrenheit and Celsius.
- Regularly required to stand, talk, hear, use hands to handle materials, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Frequently required to walk, lift, and/or move up to 65 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Pay
This position has an hourly pay rate of $18.20, based on skills, experience, role tenure, business line, and geographic location.
