Material Handler I

We are hiring at our new distribution center in Greencastle, PA. This state-of-the-art facility will provide additional distribution capacity for finished goods on the East Coast and help build a seamless supply chain to improve our customer experience.
About the role
As a Material Handler, you will help deliver various types of products from life-saving personal protective equipment to everyday lab essentials. You will provide shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment services for finished goods, inventory, materials, supplies, parts, and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and correctly process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements.
- Sustain a high level of quality to ensure customers receive accurate product and in the time requested.
- Receive materials and/or finished goods daily.
- Verify the quality, type, and number of materials received are accurate and appropriate documentation is present (e.g., packing list).
- Safely operate distribution equipment, as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- General knowledge of warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to operate powered industrial trucks and operate the equipment at various heights.
- Basic computer skills to navigate ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software in order to support the operation in its daily functions.
- Accuracy is required in performing all functions of this position.
- Ability to receive and complete general instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new assignments.
- Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance.
- Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards.
Environmental Conditions
- Warehouse environment under various temperatures including room temperature (59–86 degrees F), cold-room (36-46 degrees F), and/or freezer-room (minus 4 – 23 degrees F).
- Cold Room/Freezers -22°F/-6°C.
- Fluctuating temperatures (hot/cold).
- Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.).
- Standing for full shift.
- Working at heights.
- Walk, stand, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs on a continuous basis.
- Push and pull up to 50 lbs and regularly climb ladders.
- May occasionally sit, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- May handle “packaged” hazardous materials.
Schedule
Second Shift (Afternoons).
Pay
- Competitive hourly pay rate based on experience.
- Additional 10% shift differential for 2nd shift and 15% for 3rd shift.
