Material Handler I

Responsibilities

• Driving to and from vendor facilities, picking up and delivering parts.
• Support the Warehouse with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Perform a wide range of tasks, assisting with moving material and tools to the production line.

Requirements

• Maintain inventory accuracy.
• Moves parts, WIP, or finished products and delivers mail packages to the various department or warehouse locations.
• Operates various material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, rolling carts, or forklifts.
• Maintains the required documentation of all parts and materials moved in accordance with the specified procedures.
• Ensure work areas and other designated work areas are maintained safely and neatly.
• Ensure all material and inventory remain properly identified and stored free from damage or deterioration.

Qualifications

• To Be Successful: 1-year experience with manufacturing, inventory, or related functions, preferred.
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED.
• Proficient in computer use for data entry, part scanning or transacting, the printing of picklists.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to perform all operations within acceptable inventory accuracy, quality, and time standards.
• Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Skills

• Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance.
• Successful completion of the drug and background screening.

Physical Demands

• Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing up and down ladders and scaffolding.
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to work with arms above the head.
• Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area.
• Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments.

Pay

The pay scale for newly hired employees in this position at this location in California is between $17.52 - $21.79. This is based on meeting all of the requirements of the role. The base pay offered for the role may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
