About the role
The Material Handler will work to ensure proper packaging and movement of materials, as well as perform inventory control activities to maintain inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Inventory: Ensures inventory accuracy meets management expectation
- Picks and puts away materials
- Executes inventory cycle counts and material reconciliations
- Production: Ensures packaging of finished goods is completed seamlessly to sustain production runs
- Regulatory: Complies with all procedures and policies concerning quality and medical device regulations
- Administrative: Complies with Employee Handbook, the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, and Company policies
- Performs other work-related duties and special projects as required
- Health and Safety: Ensures compliance with a safe work environment according to federal, state, and Northgate policies and OSHA if applicable
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to read and write and communicate in English
- Basic computer literacy
- Able to learn NTI warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) and obtain required certifications
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
- Prior experience with an ERP system
- Previous experience within an industrial environment
- Previous inventory management experience
- Experience within medical devices
Education and Experience
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Previous experience within an industrial environment
Working Conditions
- Warehouse environment
- Standing for prolonged periods of time - up to 8 hours per day
- Noise level is moderate
- Frequently lift up to 75 lbs
- Occasional overtime is required
