Material Handler I
About the role
Leitner-Poma of America, Inc. is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Material Handler I to receive, unpack, and examine goods received and verify completeness of shipments against invoices and other records. This role will prepare products for shipment, count and compare quantity and identification numbers of units against the order, and utilize power tools and large machinery such as forklifts or cranes. Transfer orders, confirmations, and inventory management will all be generated and maintained in SAP consistent with standard operating procedures.
The Material Handler is responsible for preparing inventory and staging parts for multiple shops, ensuring these teams have a readily available inventory that is easily accessible for our daytime, nighttime, and weekend shifts. This position will also review and mark the appropriate part numbers on inventory to properly document and track parts usage and need.
This is a full-time, hourly position hiring at $17.50-$22.50 per hour based on relevant experience and certifications.
Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and examine goods received.
- Verify completeness of shipments against invoices and other records.
- Prepare products for shipment.
- Count and compare quantity and identification numbers of units against the order.
- Utilize power tools and large machinery such as forklifts or cranes.
- Generate and maintain transfer orders, confirmations, and inventory management in SAP.
- Prepare inventory and stage parts for multiple shops.
- Review and mark appropriate part numbers on inventory to document and track parts usage and need.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in reading and understanding welding/production drawings.
- Previous experience with forklift operations.
- Authorized to work in the United States of America.
- Proficient in the English Language.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in ERP system, specifically experience with SAP logistics transactions.
- Previous warehouse/parts management experience.
- Previous shipping, FedEx, or UPS experience.

Pay
