Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • Overtime and weekend shifts as needed
  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

About the Role

The Material Handler is responsible for storing, moving, and handling products and materials in a structured work environment to minimize safety risks. Material Handlers must be reliable and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, transport, pack, remove, and dispose of products and materials
  • Operate forklifts, handcarts, or pallet jacks to pick, replenish, shuttle, and load/unload orders
  • Maintain inventory levels as directed
  • Feed lines with product as scheduled or directed by supervision or line leads
  • Ship and receive materials throughout the duration of the shift
  • Operate all equipment in a safe manner
  • Count, weigh, and record numbers of units or materials moved or handled
  • Ensure product moved is identified and labeled correctly
  • Perform required housekeeping to maintain 5S standards (e.g., sweeping floors, disposing of trash, picking up stray product)
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Knowledge of GMPs or willingness to learn
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification within 90 days
  • Ability to operate stand-up and extended forklifts
  • Sufficient math skills
  • Ability to understand and follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to read and write in English preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Previous material handling experience a plus (varies by location)

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
  • Team-based setting requiring respectful and professional communication
  • Must be able to work necessary overtime based on staffing needs and customer demand, including across shifts

Physical Requirements

  • Reaching with hands/arms throughout the day
  • Ability to lift up to 90 lbs assisted and 40 lbs unassisted
  • Ability to stand up to 80% of the scheduled time
  • Ability to walk, climb, and/or balance throughout the shift
