Material Handler I - 3rd Shift

OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for a Material Handler to load, unload, and move materials within or near production facility or warehouse. The primary responsibility is to maintain an adequate supply of materials at all running machines, including raw materials (resin), packaging, inserts, bags, labels, etc., as called out on the job “Pick List.” Correct paperwork associated with any movement of these materials is the responsibility of the Material Handler. Lot number control is an essential part of material tracking (especially regrind) and falls under the Material Handler responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and loading all hoppers as required at set up.
- Ensuring excellent housekeeping to avoid contamination of materials.
- Maintaining correct drying conditions for each material and setting machine dryers accordingly.
- Monitoring and changing necessary filters at machine hopper, hopper loaders, and machine loaders (minimum once per day).
- Moving finished goods to the warehouse or to a designated location, filling out accurate paperwork as required.
- Ensuring all hoppers, gaylords, boxes, and other containers are marked accurately with material identification, quantity, and date as necessary.
- Mixing color concentrates, foaming agents, regrind, etc., at the correct “let down ratio” to meet job requirements.
- Performing other duties and assignments as directed by management.
Requirements
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic understanding of the injection molding process.
- At least 6 months of experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing setting.
- Previous materials handling experience.
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
- Good problem-solving and time management skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- EDUCATION:
- A high school diploma or GED.

- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
