Material Handler (Grades 4 - 6) - All Shifts

About the role

This is a mid-level Material Handler position. Applicants may be assigned any Material Handler Trade tasks, but will initially be assigned to operate equipment including receiving/issuing material at warehouses and facilities, maintaining accurate inventory, operating forklifts, barcode scanners, and hand tools such as banders.

Responsibilities

• Receive and issue material at warehouses and facilities
• Maintain accurate inventory
• Operate forklifts
• Operate barcode scanners
• Operate hand tools (e.g., banders)

Requirements

• Previous forklift experience with demonstrated proficiency (must be able to show at interview)
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to meet the Material Handler physical task analysis, including climbing stairs/ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• More than 1 year of warehousing experience preferred
• Previous BIW Material Handling experience or familiarity with BIW material handling process preferred

Skills

• Intermediate computer skills
• Use of barcode scanners

Pay

Pay range: $33.22/hr - $34.49/hr
