Material Handler - Forklift Operator

Primary Duties

• Operate forklift in compliance with forklift training and safety guidelines.
• Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars while minimizing damage.
• Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk).
• Prepare the paperwork required for distribution and shipping of products.
• Performs daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in working and assigned area.
• Affords assistance in periodic inventory counts as requested.

Requirements

• One year or recent forklift/warehouse experience.
• Proficiently and safely use forklift to transport products, load/unload trucks.
• Understand and follow directions.
• Work independently at times under pressure.
• Handle physical tasks, such as lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Read/comprehend sales orders, purchase orders, safety material, etc.
• Safe work record and stable work history.

Pay

A fixed wage of $22.84 per hour.

Schedule

2nd Shift 12:00pm - 8:30pm
