Material Handler - Forklift (Full-Time, Day Shift)

About the role

A Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, and distributing materials within the facility while maintaining safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Read production and shipping orders
• Transport items throughout the facility
• Sort and store materials
• Assemble customer orders
• Label materials and record inventory movements
• Operate manual and automated handling equipment
• Maintain a clean work environment and follow proper lifting procedures
• Document loads with photos and enter records into computer systems
• Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of warehouse or production experience
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (e.g., Oracle)
• Forklift certification preferred

Skills & Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs frequently
• Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment regularly
• Comfortable working in a moderate noise environment
• May require overtime and physical activity, including climbing and working at heights
