Material Handler - Forklift (2nd Shift, Full-Time)

About the Role

A Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, and distributing materials and products within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Read production schedules, work orders, and requisitions to determine items to move or gather.
• Transport materials using manual or automated equipment, and operate material handling machinery.
• Sort, label, and store materials according to predetermined categories.
• Fill requisitions and assemble customer orders onto pallets.
• Weigh, count, and record materials received or distributed to ensure accuracy.
• Load and unload trailers, and support inventory cycle counts.
• Follow safety, hygiene, and housekeeping guidelines, and report any hazards or injuries.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S.
• Utilize computer systems for record-keeping and documentation.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 100 lbs., climbing, and working at heights when necessary.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of warehouse or production experience.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems like Oracle.
• Forklift experience is preferred.
