Responsibilities
- Picking Responsibilities: Using a pallet jack to accurately pick orders to fulfill client demands. Efficiently and accurately pick products and stage them in the appropriate areas. Stack, package, band, shrink wrap, and label products as per client requirements.
- Quality Control Responsibilities: Verify that all products and orders are received, handled, and shipped correctly. Ensure products and/or orders meet quality standards, report any damages or discrepancies, and stack, package, shrink wrap, and label products.
- Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance: Execute all safety protocols, maintain a clean, neat, orderly work area, and assist in security of the warehouse. Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate, and site-specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/SDS Standards.
- Equipment Operation: Operate a pallet jack and maintain equipment. Follow prescribed work methods and report equipment problems.
- Maintenance: Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED.
- Certifications: None required.
- Physical Demands: Occasional handling/fingering, sitting; frequent bending; constant walking and standing. Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel.
- Work Environment: While exposed to unregulated temperatures, noise levels are usually low to moderate.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Computer Skills: None required.
- Language Skills: English (reading, writing, verbal).
- Mathematical Skills: Basic to intermediate level for verifying quantities of product, counting inventory, or performing duties associated with handling, storing, and distributing client products.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to accomplish job tasks in a timely manner.
- Adaptability: Ability to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment.
