Material Handler/Driver -1st Shift

About the role

The Sanmina Fremont facility is a full-service enclosure systems solution manufacturing plant. Located in California’s Silicon Valley, this facility produces low-to-mid volume New Product Introduction (NPI) runs to full-scale volume. The Fremont facility offers everything from small piece parts to fully integrated and tested systems. In addition, this location offers in-house painting capabilities and flexible logistics solutions in distribution, inventory management and hubbing, as well as repair services.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads material onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand weighing up to 60 pounds
• Packaging and unpacking, crating and uncrating, strapping, wrapping materials for shipping
• Functions as primary contact point for both, customer and internal management for all operational activities related to the shipping department
• Works with customer and suppliers to provide accurate data and proactively follow up for shipping discrepancies resolution on a timely manner
• Responsible for closing work orders and recording shipping orders on the computer system, printing and labeling items and shipping containers with the correct shipping documentation
• Complete shipping documentation (Domestic/International)
• Reports to area supervisor for all matters relating to conformance, inventory or materials reports as required
• May be assigned other material handler duties and responsibilities, and is expected to assist with receiving activities as required
• This position requires working overtime when necessary
• This position requires the employee to proactively practice safety warehouse rules
• This position requires the employee to proactively lead and participate in 5S and warehouse continuous improvement activities
• This position requires the employee to complete all training assigned and required for the position in a timely manner
• Drive a box van/truck and forklift. Valid driver's license (Class C) and driving experience with a box truck required

Requirements

• This position requires a minimum of 2-3 years of shipping experience, including experience with domestic and international shipping documentation
• Able to read English and communicate well with others
• Responsible and Flexible

Pay

Salary Range (annual): $49,920 - $54,080 ($24.00 - $26.00)
