Material Handler DC - Second Shift
About the role
The DC-Berlin Material Handler fulfills multiple roles within the Distribution Center to process inbound and/or outbound freight accurately, timely, and safely. Key activities include receiving, labeling, putting away, order picking, slotting, replenishment, e-commerce order fulfillment, hybrid throwing, loading, and other specialized roles requiring additional training or experience.
Responsibilities
- Performs one or more functions in a Distribution Center environment to fulfill orders for retail stores and/or other Distribution Centers.
- Utilizes manual and/or powered industrial equipment and/or RF guns to perform work tasks.
- Documents production logs appropriately, including changes in assignments, downtime, meetings, etc., to ensure accurate productivity records.
- Completes other assigned duties as needed.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills for certain roles.
- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
- Basic math proficiency for certain roles.
- Good record-keeping skills with attention to details for certain roles.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
A high school education or equivalency is preferred. Prior use of manual and/or powered industrial equipment is preferred, along with basic warehouse and/or Distribution Center knowledge. Demonstrated success in a production environment is helpful.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting and carrying of product weighing 5 to 60 pounds.
- Frequent pushing or pulling of material and/or equipment.
- Frequent standing when working and when driving powered industrial equipment.
- Frequent walking, primarily in the warehouse.
- Regular reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
- Repetitive motion and substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Potential exposure to extreme temperatures, moderate noise levels, and occasional vibration.

Pay
Total Base Pay Range: $17.10 - $21.10

Hours vary based on department needs.
