Material Handler (DC) Nights

About the Role

Assists supervisor to ensure that production operators have sufficient stock of materials. Collects, checks and keeps records of materials flow to and from the production area. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.

Responsibilities

• Apply basic working knowledge of technical field/area of specialization.
• Exercise general application of principles, theories, and concepts, proposing courses of action as needed.
• Perform basic-level shop floor competencies under direct supervision and from detailed verbal and/or written instructions.
• Use established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks with limited judgment in resolving problems.
• Interact primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers; occasional contact with external contractors/vendors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. (or equivalent) required.
• 0.5–2 years of related experience OR completion of PBS requirements and passing an assessment at the appropriate level.
• Regular and predictable on-site attendance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to sit and talk or hear regularly.
• Frequent use of hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasional standing, walking, and lifting/moving up to 20 pounds.
