About the role
This job supports the Supply Chain function. It is a 1st shift opportunity with day hours which are 6am to 5:45pm Monday through Thursday with a rotation of working Friday through Sunday every other week for both shifts (2,2,3 shift rotation) with every other weekend off. This is a fully onsite role in Pleasant Prairie, WI.
Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading merchandise or material from cars or trucks.
- Operate manual and motorized ride on pallet jack.
- Help pack and unpack shipments. This includes processing, scanning, and shelving parts, pulling orders, and entering data into the inventory control systems.
- Operate forklift for loading and unloading trucks.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Maintain upkeep of stockroom and other storage areas and merge existing stock to improve space usage.
- Perform labeling of materials under required procedures.
- Audit warehouse inventory reports using physical checks to ensure accurate system accounting.
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
- Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
- Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and mentorship.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience or GED or equivalent experience with up to 2 years of job-related experience.
- Should hold forklifting experience and will certify while on the job.
- Experience with warehouse with GMP Materials & Pharmaceutical environment is a plus but not required.
- Forklift experience is required; candidates must demonstrate proficiency in operating forklifts safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment.
- Physical requirements to include stooping, standing, climbing, and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mentality.
