Responsibilities

  • Physically receive and transfer materials to identified storage locations (productions, warehouse, line side, etc.).
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks/trailers for intercompany and over the road transport.
  • Operate Material Handling equipment (pallet jacks, strappers, bailer, etc.) safely, performing shift safety checks, adhering to operating guidelines, wearing PPE, and following organizational protocols.
  • Communicate any equipment issues or concerns to Lead Material Handlers, including safety, inventory discrepancies, shortages, or damages.
  • Absorb inventory maintenance activities such as counting, physical inventories, cycle counts, shift by shift inventory sheets, and spot checks as needed.
  • Consolidate stock and inventory as necessary.
  • Remove plant refuse and recyclables in accordance with facility guidelines and assist in maintaining outside storage areas.
  • Participate in the auditing process, implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace through housekeeping and other efforts supporting a clean and safe workplace.
  • Incorporate 5S principles into your work environment.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Basic math skills are required.

Requirements

  • No supply chain experience is required.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
