How You Will Make An Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. We are opening a new campus facility that will have two of our businesses (Marley and Ingenia Technologies) evolving and growing together at one site. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in managing the daily flow of product by verifying, packing, and recording incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring inventory accuracy and on time delivery.

What You Can Expect In This Role (Job Responsibilities)

  • Load and unload trucks using a forklift or overhead crane
  • Ensure optimal use of warehouse space and place merchandise in designated locations
  • Receive goods and verify their accuracy against purchase orders and delivery notes
  • Inform the warehouse manager of any discrepancies between the receiving slip and the purchase order
  • Palletize and pack parts and air handling units for shipment, ensuring adherence to shipping instructions
  • Wrap air handling units using plastic film
  • Load ventilation units onto a flatbed truck using an overhead crane

What We Are Looking For (Required/Ideal Experience, Skills, Education)

  • High school diploma
  • 2 to 3 years of warehouse experience
  • Valid forklift operator's license, an asset
  • Strong organizational skills, methodical approach, and ability to work quickly and efficiently
  • Responsible, self-motivated, and a good team player
  • Valid Class 1 driver's license, an asset
  • Knowledge and practical experience with standard computer applications
  • Good physical ability to lift heavy objects
  • Crane Safety knowledge/experience helpful
