Material Handler

Job Summary

The Material Handler participates with a positive attitude while working with fellow team members to ensure plant orderliness, cleanliness and safety.

Job Responsibilities

• Listen and follow the direction of the plant supervisors
• Work along side team leads to have up to date information of jobs needing prepared
• Follow work order instructions carefully as to proper part numbers, quantities and percentages required in bill of materials for each job
• Off load material arriving from vendors
• Ensure materials are available and ready, to reduce start up time
• Ensure yard is organized and free of obstructions
• Verify material type, thickness, and size
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Good reading and writing skills essential
• Good communication skills essential
• Good mathematical skills essential
• Previous forklift experience essential
• Ability to read a tape measure, calipers a plus
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

Compensation

• Hourly pay rate: $21/hr
