Material Handler

Essential Functions

• Stock finished goods and inventory items throughout the warehouse.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure materials are readily available for production needs.
• Minimize overstocking or shortages by organizing and storing inventory according to safety standards.
• Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly manner.
• Post cycle counts after reviewing and confirming their accuracy, including necessary approvals.
• Absorb and process transfers within the system to ensure materials are moved correctly to final locations.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and perform annual physical inventory counts.
• Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and inventory records.
• Assist in fulfilling internal production orders and shipments, ensuring proper documentation and timely delivery.
• Adhere to safety protocols while handling materials and operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
• Update inventory records, track materials, and generate reports using inventory management and ERP systems.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including Health, Safety, and Quality Assurance policies.
• Report injuries, accidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions to a supervisor or manager immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications

• 1-2 years of related experience and/or training in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
• Manual dexterity to load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, platforms up to 25-100 lbs.
• Close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to read, understand, interpret, and follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing specifications.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Outlook and Excel; experience with Epicor system preferred.
• Ability to adjust to changes without compromising quality or performance.
• Able to work a shift schedule and overtime as needed, including weekends.

• Highly customized components, long and large parts, and high precision manufacturing for critical service applications.
