About the role
The Material Handler, Retail will primarily work in a production environment moving, storing, and retrieving donated products following Goodwill’s warehousing and material handling procedures and guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Moves, stores, and retrieves donated products according to Goodwill’s procedures and guidelines.
- Ensures sufficient materials are available for the production team to minimize downtime.
- Prepares items for shipment and tracks both incoming and outgoing products.
- Organizes and maintains a clean and organized work area to ensure efficient workflow.
- Adapts to new technologies and follows safety requirements.
- Works collaboratively with the team and adapts to varying schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous storage, moving, or shipping/receiving experience is helpful.
- Able to obtain walkie stacker and/or forklift certification.
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs and use a dolly and pallet jack as required.
- Able to work a varied schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays with occasional overtime.
- Able to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
