Material Handler and Kitting Associate

About the Role

Receives picklists for kitting production orders and parts order deliveries from planning. Picks parts from inventory locations specified on picklists and, when necessary, performs light assembly and kitting work. Finishes packaging parts and either stages them for shipment or stocks them in specific kit inventory locations. Performs basic issuing, confirming, and stocking material transactions in SAP. Prioritizes work orders based on commitment dates and customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Pick parts for both kits and parts order deliveries from inventory locations specified on picklists.
  • Assemble materials into kits and finish packaging.
  • Physically stock materials in specified inventory locations.
  • Complete transactions in SAP to ensure materials are properly placed in inventory.
  • Stage picked parts for shipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Basic SAP skills.
  • Proficient understanding of safety practices within operations.
  • Self-starter with a solutions-driven approach and ability to produce results.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Prior SAP experience.
  • High school diploma with 1 year of related experience in a shipping department, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to handle internal and external customer communication.

  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.

Working Conditions

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and equipment of various sizes.
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Pay

Anticipated salary range for this position: $42,600/yr to $59,520/yr. Actual salary will depend on relevant qualifications, skills, and experience.
