Material Handler, Alternate 1st Shift (10am-6:30pm)

Responsibilities

  • Creates personnel planning on operational on operational level for specific shift ensuring sufficient capacity to deliver required output.
  • Acts and coordinates on foreseeable demand and requested changes from operational planning departments.
  • Identifies and solves disturbances in own sub-flow (such as damaged product or administrative error in system).
  • Escalates disturbance issues which involves cross departmental alignment such as quality and/or warehousing engineers.
  • Sets priorities and informs shopfloor on priorities to drive timely pick up of tasks.
  • Able to help more junior material handlers with questions on performing operational tasks.

Qualifications

  • Holds secondary trade school education level 3 or 4 and has thorough experience within logistics.
  • Able to work in a dynamic practical environment and perform well under pressure.
  • Able to work independently, acts as flexible team player and has good communication skills.

Requirements

  • Understands tasks and procedures within operational flow to oversee and optimize work process.
  • Has ability and flexibility to solve disturbance issues in operational flow.
  • Works under regular supervision of Team-lead on progress and results and may act as delegate for Team-lead.
