Material Handler- 1st Shift (Monday -Friday 7am-3:30pm)

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required, or commitment to obtain a GED with Carlstar-sponsored GED program within 12 months of hire date.
• Willingness to work any shifts and overtime.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Successfully pass a background check and reference check, drug test, and physical exam.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid forklift certification/license.
• Previous manufacturing and/or distribution experience.
• Experience in lean, kaizen, and high-performance work teams.
• Experience in RF (hand-held WMS equipment).
• One year experience in a manufacturing/distribution operation in the same or similar job position.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to provide oral and written communication to all levels of employees within the company.
• Ability to work well independently or in a team environment.
• Ability to work well without direct supervision.
• Ability to achieve goals.
• Ability to adapt easily to change.
• Ability to follow instructions.

Physical Requirements

• Excellent manual dexterity.
• Ability to stand for duration of shift.
• Ability to stand for duration of shift, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, climbing.
• Hand/eye coordination.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs continuously throughout the shift.
• Must have the ability to walk up to 800 feet, balance, climb stairs and/or ladders, occasionally.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to bend, squat and kneel, frequently.
• Ability to lift materials, 40 lbs or less regularly; up to 70 lbs occasionally.
