Material Handler - 8pm - 8am

12-month contract position on W2 basis; US Citizens, Green Card holders, or valid EAD (OPT/CPT/GC EAD) only. 40 hours per week on 3rd shift (8 PM – 8 AM).

About the Role

Uses a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products or goods within a plant, office, or warehouse. May maintain records. Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques, and procedures within one skill area/process/method. Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps. Works within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines. Works under general to limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to transport materials and products.
• Maintain records of moved materials and goods.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines.
• Perform routine tasks under limited supervision.

Requirements

• 1 year of warehouse or related experience and/or training.
• Obtain and maintain appropriate licenses, training, or certifications as needed (e.g., forklift certification).
• Basic skills training in material handling, logistics, or manufacturing production.
• Effective communication skills to interact with co-workers and supervisors.
• Ability to read, write, interpret documents in English, and perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to work in a metrics-driven environment.
• General computer skills.

• Regularly required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, balance, climb, lift, crouch, reach, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, twist, and use hands for repetitive motion tasks (e.g., typing, handling materials).
• Frequently lift and/or move objects over 50 lbs.
• Exposure to work near moving mechanical parts, extreme weather conditions, and vibration.
• Occasional exposure to high, precarious places and fumes/airborne particles.
• Work environment is hot in summer (no AC) and cold in winter (limited heating).
• Moderate to loud noise levels in the work environment.

Pay

$16–$20 per hour.
