Full job description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Work Safely – report all unsafe conditions and or near misses immediately to your Supervisor.
- Report any property damage that occurred while you were on the lift, regardless of how insignificant it may seem.
- Maintain a clean work area – keep docks picked up, aisle ways clean and swept, bander area clean and empty trash as required.
- Operate and maintain fork truck equipment as required.
- Perform Fork Lift inspection daily at the beginning of your shift
- Rework any bales or pallets of finished goods that have been spilled or are potentially unsafe.
- Work with other Fork Lift drivers as a team and communicate accordingly.
- Othertasks as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: Prior forklift experience required. Must be able to pass basic forklift training.
- Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities: Strong written and oral communication, organization and attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, time management.

- Ability to climb up and down into a forklift to operate safely
- The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds or 75 pounds as a team lift.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to ambient temperatures. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
