About the role
Responsible for movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift truck. May also utilize cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job requirements. Works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.
Responsibilities
- Accurately removes and stocks product, customer's product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.
- Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and package them properly.
- Loads and unloads trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.
- Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
- Completes cycle Counts.
- Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.
- Completes paperwork per work instructions, when required.
- Performs general clean up.
- Inspections forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.
- Participates, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements.
- Assists in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED.
- Ability to read and write English (in Quebec, must read and write French).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. for 100 feet.
- Ability to perform basic math skills.
- Previous forklift experience.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions.
