About the Role
Ensure all machines are set up with required materials such as polybags, boxes, screws, and components, including removal of all such items from previous scheduled jobs. Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions. Safety is the top priority—maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with the previous shift material handler to transition ongoing tasks.
- Coordinate with foremen at the start of the shift to determine priorities.
- Ensure all machines have the correct material, blends, colorants, and prevent material shortages.
- Move finished goods from machines after scanning is complete.
- Stock machines with WIP components and packaging materials.
- Supply empty, clean Gaylords for scrap parts, runners, etc., following LMT internal procedures.
- Return all components to their original locations using proper scanning procedures upon job completion.
- Use IQMS and/or Work Orders to determine machine component needs.
- Wrap skids before placing them in the warehouse.
- Handle regrind for all applicable jobs.
- Return materials to their proper locations using a scanner.
- Neatly place old unusable skids in designated locations.
- Clean hoppers or material containers using the provided vacuum cleaner.
- Mix resins and colorants according to manufacturing recommendations.
- Dry resins per manufacturing recommendations.
- Keep all machines and auxiliary equipment free from spilled materials.
- Serve as a backup to the mold setter.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- LMT will provide forklift operation training.
