About the role
Performs a number of different and important responsibilities in the pre-hanging/pre-finishing operation, including material receiving, material and product movement, product shipping, and production support.
Responsibilities
- Receive, audit, inspect, identify, and put away incoming material to proper locations.
- Maintain housekeeping and organization in the warehouse and other material location areas.
- Maintain correct inventories by updating the computer system when physically moving materials.
- Assist in assigning production areas when not moving materials.
- Ensure products and materials meet quality expectations.
- Support area needs by removing empty pallets, trash, and recyclable materials.
- Clean all parts and pieces using sandpaper, acetone on a cloth rag, or an air hose to blow off dust, ensuring parts are ready for painting.
- Service the pre-finish line with needed material components (e.g., loading paint carts with frame parts and doors).
- Assist the pre-finish line area with the removal of completed product to build prep or the stretch-wrap machine.
- Stage completed and stretch-wrapped door products into shipping staging lanes by loads.
- Load trucks with finished door products as directed by the Production Manager.
- Adhere to forklift, operational, quality, and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
- One to two years of related experience.
- Experience using a computer and handheld scanning gun.
- OSHA Forklift certification.
