POSITION SUMMARY

New Flyer is North America's heavy-duty transit bus leader, providing sustainable mobility solutions through transit buses, technology, and infrastructure. New Flyer actively supports over 35,000 heavy-duty transit buses currently operated by approximately 500 agencies.

Requirements

  • Safely operate a forklift and complete required certifications
  • Maintain accurate inventory through counting, tracking, and cycle counts
  • Deliver materials to production lines and stock designated point-of-use locations
  • Set up and organize storage solutions (racks, bins, carts) to prevent damage or loss
  • Establish and maintain designated drop zones for material delivery and removal
  • Support production teams with material movement and lifting as needed
  • Process and remove rejected or non-conforming materials daily
  • Dispose of waste materials and manage hopper/trash removal
  • Update visual management tools (e.g., whiteboards) with part storage information
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in line with 5S standards
  • Actively contribute to workplace safety and incident prevention efforts

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or materials role preferred
  • Forklift operation experience (or ability to become certified)
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately count and track inventory
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and teamwork skills

  • Ability to safely operate a forklift

  • Computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • ERP system experience (Oracle preferred)
