Position Overview

As part of the talented Plant 17 Materials team, you will support material handling initiatives. Under the direction of the Materials Supervisor, you will maintain responsibility for assigned tools, equipment and product, quality and quantity of product, and adherence to all Company procedures.

Essential Functions

  • Perform mandatory equipment preoperation checks
  • Obtain tying or binding material from designated areas as necessary
  • Ensure materials are moved to correct locations
  • Conscientious handling of materials including, but not limited to, cages, baskets, skids, and pallets
  • Handling of materials within scrap hoppers
  • Mobilization of baskets in indoor and outdoor environments
  • Maintain good housekeeping
  • Clean and organize work, storage areas, and equipment at close of shift and at other times as required
  • Observe all safety rules and follow at all times what is known to be safe practice
  • Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening and physical

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift certification

Working Conditions

This position works in a Foundry. Exposure to heat and dust.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $26.49 to $29.98 hourly.
