Material Handler - 2nd Shift
Job Summary
The Material Handler supports the efficient flow of materials throughout the facility, from receiving and storage to production and shipping. This role ensures accurate inventory control, timely delivery of materials to work centers, and proper handling, packaging, and documentation of all materials in accordance with company and quality standards.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Basic computer skills (working knowledge of MRP systems, Excel, and Word)
- Ability to operate forklift truck
- Ability to operate equipment required to pack and move products
- Knowledge of proper techniques for lifting and carrying
- Abilities listed in the General Requirements of Team Members
Required Experience And Education
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- 6 months to 1 year experience preferred

Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against packing lists; report discrepancies
Transport materials to designated storage, staging, or production areas
Pull and issue materials to support production jobs
Perform electronic transactions to maintain accurate inventory records
Conduct daily cycle counts and support inventory accuracy initiatives
Package and prepare finished goods for shipment, including specialized packaging as required
Maintain clean, organized storage areas and support FIFO inventory practices
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts
Follow proper handling procedures to prevent damage to materials
Ensure compliance with safety standards, including hazardous material handling
Complete required documentation accurately and timely
Perform other duties as assigned
