Material Handler 2nd Shift 4:00pm to 2:30am Statesville

About the Role

Transfer material manually by hand, or using a manual pallet jack or a lifting device attached to a hoist as outlined in standard work. Operate sit-down, stand-up, and high-reach lifts.

Responsibilities

• Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device attached to hoist.
• Load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting devices by hand as needed.
• Load parts manually from racks, tubs, and/or bins in the warehouse to trays or racks on kit carts.
• Follow a set route through the department to load kit carts.
• Load and unload parts manually from the paint line.
• Maintain safety checks on necessary equipment.
• Perform duties in a safe, efficient manner in compliance with safety rules and regulations.
• Use an electronic scanner to transact material as needed.
• Keep aisles clean and orderly.
• Assist in the instruction and training of others as requested by supervisor.
• Complete preventative maintenance and other duties as directed by Total Production Maintenance.
• Perform other non-essential duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly.
• Must have the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Ability to communicate with supervisors and fellow workers in both written and verbal forms.
