Material Handler - 2nd and 3rd Shift

Responsibilities

• Moving materials within the plant.
• Aid with daily cycle counts.
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for material or other stock items and distribute to production cells.
• Load and unload materials onto or off pallets, trays, and shelves by hand or with hand jack or fork truck.
• Operate a baler, bands bales, and moves with fork truck.
• Operate scales, use tare weights, and verify inventory.
• Clean work area and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Enter and track information on items shipped, received, or moved to or from inventory using computer, tablet, and paperwork.
• Assemble customer orders from stock, place orders on pallets, stretch wrap the order, mark material with identifying information and/or shipping labels.
• Post weights and shipping charges and affix proper labels.
• Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Operate various material handling and packing equipment.
• Ship customer orders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Team player.

Wage And Benefits

• Wages start at $19.89 with increases every 6 months as you move up the wage scale.
• Shift Differential - $1.50 for 2nd Shift.
• $2000 Retention Bonus - $500 at 90 days, $500 at 180 days, and $1000 at 365 days of employment.
