Material Handler (1st Shift)
Position Overview
The Support Tech II job class includes a variety of roles supporting the Mercury Marine values of: Integrity, Customer Centricity, Product & Service Leadership, Sustainability, and Employee Engagement.
Essential Functions
- Forklift Operators - Delivery of large parts utilizing a powered industrial truck to various operations throughout Plant 15.
- Lineside Operators - Delivery of small parts utilizing powered delivery carts and tow behind wagons to various assembly operations.
- Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse Operations - Replenishment of parts utilizing a variety of equipment to/from our offsite warehouses to support daily manufacturing functions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Forklift Operators - Deliver parts throughout the plant as requested to meet daily production needs.
- Lineside Operators - Replenish parts using lean methodology.
- Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse Operations - Move parts to/from offsite warehouses and throughout the assembly plant.
Experience and Skills
- Ability to drive material delivery equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior forklift experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Prior warehouse experience is a plus.
- General computer skills required.
- Prior experience using a Kanban delivery system is a plus.
Pay
The hiring rate for this position is $26.49, hourly.
