Key Responsibilities
- Follow safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Keep the color or material filled in each machine during your shift, assisting with optimized use of regrind and pelletized material.
- May require use of manual pallet jack or forklift.
- Responsible for color or material changes as requested by work orders.
- Ensure materials are at proper blend ratios.
- Remove any lids or pails from under or around machines, then record the rejects.
- When done using colors or materials, reweigh and label the box.
- Track any movement of materials with RF scanner to ensure inventory levels.
- Clear empty gaylords off the floor. Clean out any excess material and then remove all old labels.
- Break down empty gaylords and take to designated holding area.
- Responsible for keeping the work area clean and organized.
- Training to advance into future Processor level role.
Qualifications
- Competencies (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities): Capacity to thrive in a team-oriented setting, Effective verbal and written communication abilities, Proficient in organizational capabilities, Mechanical Aptitude, Fundamental proficiency in mathematics, Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word at an entry-level capacity, Knowledge of Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED).
- Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Licenses and Certifications: Forklift Certification.
- Experience: Over three years of hands-on experience in injection molding.
Physical Job Requirements
- Requires some lifting, extended standing and walking.
- All work is performed in a manufacturing environment which may be hot/cold and always requires the use of PPE (eyeglasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection, etc. where required).
