Location: Columbus, Nebraska | Duration: 12 Months | Pay rate: $22.70 (includes shift differential)
About the role
6 PM – 6 AM rotating shift schedule, weekends included. Worker can start pending background clearance; no drug test required. High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Pallet/Case Picking
- Process customer orders: scan bar codes, pick and label boxes
- Pick and pack orders using RF technology
- Maintain work area per SOP and work instructions
- Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP
- Complete RF device training to obtain necessary profiles
- Verify accuracy and package shipments
- Pallet Build
- Scan, retrieve, and place completed orders on pallets
- Re-palletize products for shipment
- Perform dock manifest duties: scan completed pallets and operate shrink wrapper
- Transport pallets using motorized pallet jack (Walkie Ryder)
- Verify accuracy and package shipments
- Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety instructions and operating practices to prevent injuries
- Maintain warehouse security and report unsafe acts, hazards, or suspicious activity
- Report all injuries, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately
- Sanitation & Housekeeping
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area at all times
- Follow facility cleanliness guidelines
- Cross-training
- Learn responsibilities of other warehouse positions
- Assist as required and act as backup during absences or vacations
- Additional Duties
- Adhere to attendance policies
- Maintain current status in C2C training modules
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or 1 year of relevant experience
- Experience with Walkie Ryder (motorized pallet jack) preferred
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects in a fast-paced distribution environment
- Ability to read and interpret distribution documents
- Ability to work well with others and under minimal supervision
- Ability to operate MHE and use Voice/RF scanner
- Ability to perform in a metrics-driven environment
- Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills
- General distribution knowledge
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Must be able to perform essential functions of the position, with or without accommodation
Physical Demands
- Regular exposure to walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, and twisting
- Frequent use of hands to finger, handle, feel, pick, or type, including repetitive motion of wrists, hands, or fingers
