This role is on-site at the Toledo, Ohio plant on a full-time basis. The position may offer relocation assistance.

About the Role

As a member of the Supply Chain team, you will support one of the key areas: manufacturing/warehouse operations, supply chain systems and processes, launch execution, scheduling, and material management. You will act as a liaison between purchasing, engineering, warehousing/manufacturing, logistics, and suppliers to resolve issues and provide support.

Responsibilities

  • Execute deliverables in support of the supply chain organization's business objectives.
  • Guide one of the key areas within the Global Supply Chain to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in customer, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product, and financial initiatives.
  • Communicate to all levels of the organization, within the function as well as other functions and suppliers.
  • Support relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers.
  • Assess and resolve complex supply chain issues, leading cross-functional teams to minimize impacts on vehicle production.
  • Assess supplier schedules and their impact on vehicle assembly production.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop creative solutions.
  • Summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate them to leadership.
  • Handle complex capacity constraint issues to eliminate potential plant disruptions and reduce premium transportation.
  • Analyze metrics supporting supplier critical issues or sufficiency plan resolution.
  • Ensure all supplier parts are on-site to meet daily production requirements.
  • Lead and assist the Material Flow team to ensure materials arrive on time and prevent production interruptions.
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Work cross-functionally with production and quality groups to achieve daily build schedules.
  • Lead the cycle counting process.
  • Manage material build-out and obsolescence avoidance.
  • Support Level II BPD execution.
  • Support Command Center troubled supplier calls.
  • Lead and support the Ryder team.
  • Support launch-related activities.
  • Support transportation-related activities.
  • Develop and maintain Min/Max on all parts.
  • Support packaging initiatives.

Requirements

  • Ability to be flexible and work extended or non-core hours to resolve issues.
  • Ability to travel to plant locations for onsite support of launch and build-out.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to tackle complex issues and implement innovative strategies.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Supply Chain functions; manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Excel and Teams; Microsoft Access is a plus.
  • MGO knowledge and experience required; MGO-C is a plus.
  • Material flow knowledge required—from supplier through customer.
  • Ability to work weekends as required to support manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to work more than 8 hours if needed to support manufacturing operations.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to follow up and pay close attention to details.
  • Ability to implement irreversible corrective actions as problems are identified.
  • Ability to present solutions to problems.
