Material Damage Specialist I, II, or Sr. - National General

About the role
Responsible for creating a comprehensive estimate of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims leading to the proper disposition. This role serves as a peer mentor, having mastered company processes and obtained technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
- Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments, and documents all activities in the most complex files
- Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assists leadership in formal and ad-hoc training
- Exhibits mastery estimating fundamentals to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities
- Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers
Requirements
- Individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments during employment
- Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed by the licensing team

Pay
Base compensation offered for this role is:
- Field Adjuster Cons I: $26.49 – $40.99/hour
- Field Adjuster Cons II: $28.03 – $43.70/hour
- Field Adjuster Sr. Cons I: $35.82 – $50.24/hour
Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation may include additional components, such as incentive pay (e.g., commission or bonus), if applicable.
