Supervised by the Site Manager or site Supply Technician.

About the role

Responsible for overall supply operations at the work site level, including receiving, storage, requisitioning, issue, and accountability of all items required to support the work site maintenance effort.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees receiving operations and ensures all requirements for inspection and accountability are maintained.
  • Manages all storage operations, including warehouse configurations, locator identification systems, and material handling operations.
  • Manages requisitioning of all parts and materials required to support work site maintenance operations.
  • Establishes physical inventory procedures and schedules in accordance with applicable task order regulations.
  • Manages all Government Furnished Equipment/Property issue in support of the contract.
  • May supervise a supply team consisting of Supply Technicians, Supply Clerks, and Shipping and Receiving Clerks.
  • Maintains a statistical database for all supply transactions to measure the effectiveness of the supply operation.
  • Performs all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Five years of related experience working with U.S. Army combat and tactical equipment preferred; relevant commercial supply experience is acceptable.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Army inventory management systems and techniques is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience, including assignment of work, monitoring, and evaluation, is preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.
  • Position may require travel.
  • Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a shop environment that is moderately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
  • Exposure to disagreeable fumes, cuts, bruises, and hazards from moving vehicles such as forklifts and sweepers.
  • Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and taste or smell.
  • Frequently lifts items weighing 15–25 pounds and occasionally in excess of 40 pounds.
  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, and vibration.
  • Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; and risk of electrical shock.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • May involve unsafe conditions, questioning nonstandard operations, or providing feedback on safety issues.

Other Responsibilities

  • Safety: Responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment, including completing all training requirements, fulfilling self-aid/buddy aid responsibilities, participating in emergency response tasks, and serving on safety committees and teams.
  • Quality: Must conform to quality policies and carry out job activities in compliance with applicable quality system documents and customer contracts.
  • Procedure Compliance: Must read, understand, and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to the job.

Pay

This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position under the Service Contract Act (SCA). The base hourly rate is $26.71. In addition to the base rate, you may be eligible for a health and welfare payment for each hour worked to comply with SCA minimums, depending on the fringe benefits selected.
