Material Coordinator 1

As a Material Coordinator, you will perform duties that support the efficient and safe movement of parts and supplies, ensuring the reliability of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner with an emphasis on quality.
• Follow Company and departmental procedures, including regular attendance and punctuality.
• Adhere to all safety rules and maintain a clean and orderly work area and vehicles.
• Report unusual conditions or situations to Lead Person or Supervisor.
• Drive Company vehicles to and from suppliers to pick up and deliver parts and supplies.
• Load and unload vehicles using necessary equipment; seek assistance when needed.
• Inspect vehicles (truck, forklift, power pallet lifter, etc.) for operational readiness, make adjustments, and complete required paperwork.
• Report unusual conditions during vehicle operation and necessary maintenance to Lead Person or Supervisor.
• Report any unusual conditions at outside suppliers to Lead Person or Supervisor.
• Pack and/or weigh parts going out to suppliers.
• Maintain all vehicle fluid levels.
• Perform in-shop functions when primary duties are completed, as directed by Lead Person or Supervisor.
• Safely operate powered fork trucks and lifts, as well as electronic scales.
• Perform cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory throughout the year.
• Coordinate with Production Control to manage components for work orders, including reporting FCN (traceability) to Production Planning using FIFO practice.
• Receive, distribute, and store parts in their proper locations; return overpull material to stock.
• Review all paperwork upon completion.
• Fill production work orders.
• Assist with sawing, turning, and grinding machinery, including lifting or moving parts.

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary or trades/technical education and certifications preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and shop math competencies.
• Strong ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.

Pay

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $17.50–$19.93 per hour, based on experience and education.

Schedule

This is a full-time position eligible for the paid time off plan and comprehensive benefits package.
